Picked up the news on the latest Comcast rate increase today.
I'm getting nickel-and-dimed by Comcast on rate increases for digital service and cable modem, but, strangely I just don't care right now. Why? Because Comcast is on a real hotstreak right now. Non of my Comcast services have gone down since January. Amazing what a little bit of reliability buys an MSO.
Hell, one of my three TV remotes is even broken right now and I don't even care. Those remotes are old -- old like the crappy STBs from Moto. I still don't care.
People think I have a real hard-on for Comcast, but in reality, I just want them to live up the core brand promise. Connectivity. I could care less about "comcastic" downstream times. Just getting the basic connectivity right is upgrading Comcast in my consumer brand index.
Why do I feel like I just jinxed my cable modem?

hi there david roberts
it's nice to see a comcast person responding
i'd like to ask how my tv rates increased by 110% in 2 months?
it did
that is being taken up with comcast at this time
what is see is that to offset the reduced payment rate for the one year 12mb internet costs to comcast
i get a reduction and they hike the tv rates by 110% over a 2 month period
sounds a little different from the 6 percent or so i saw postd on the net
isn't it?
i'm near to point of removing comcast and going back to dsl. at least they didn't try to pull any such shenanigans like comcast has.

i might add that my local comcast office lied to me about limitaions
i deliberately asked if there were ANY limitations and was told there were none
then my net service gets locked and i'm told there's a 250 gig per month limit
does that sound like a company a person should trust and do any business with?
what did comcast say when i told them i was lied to before i agreed to the service?
i'm sorry, but the limits are in the paperwork
since when does lying get a simple sorry?
since when it it ethical of comcast to tolerate lying to it's customers?
i hope plenty of people come across this and see just what sort of company comcast is.
get satellite tv
get dsl
at least they tell you honestly what you're getting. with comcast you don't get that!
:((
