Picked up the news on the latest Comcast rate increase today.
I'm getting nickel-and-dimed by Comcast on rate increases for digital service and cable modem, but, strangely I just don't care right now. Why? Because Comcast is on a real hotstreak right now. Non of my Comcast services have gone down since January. Amazing what a little bit of reliability buys an MSO.
Hell, one of my three TV remotes is even broken right now and I don't even care. Those remotes are old -- old like the crappy STBs from Moto. I still don't care.
People think I have a real hard-on for Comcast, but in reality, I just want them to live up the core brand promise. Connectivity. I could care less about "comcastic" downstream times. Just getting the basic connectivity right is upgrading Comcast in my consumer brand index.
Why do I feel like I just jinxed my cable modem?
